Professor Shi Haitao identified and seized green sea turtles for Haikou Industrial and Commercial Appraisal

    Species identification is an important and indispensable part of the fight against wildlife crime. In view of the difficulty and high cost of species identification in law enforcement, our team has been providing identification of chelonians and other animal specimens for law enforcement agencies inside and outside the province on a voluntary basis for a long period of time. Professor Shi Haitao is a member of the National Scientific Committee for Endangered Species, as well as a member of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Beijing Municipal Scientific Committee for Endangered Species.
